Owning Apache*Pb* has been
a dream come true for Joint Venture Farm and the Gardners.
Apache’s ancestral Trakehner lineage exemplifies Trakehner
elite breeding. He was sired by Merkur *E*(sire of numerous
approved stallions, Apache*Pb* being one of the most exceptional)
by Schwalbenflug out of Marchenbluteby Maigraf xx. Apache’s
dam was Alouette *E* by Tannenberg *E* out of the immortal
Abiza *E* who produced the famous Trakehner stallion Abdullah
*Pg*E*.
Apache*Pb* was born March 1, 1986 at Galten
Farms in Unionville(now Markham), Ontario. Galten Farms
is owned by the renowned Trakehner breeder Gerhard Schindedanz
and his family. While in Canada, Apache*Pb* was successfully
campaigned by Jacqueline Brooks and Ashley Nichol. Apache’s
career included combined training and dressage. He competed
and excelled in dressage through Grand Prix. At Fourth Level,
Apache*Pb* won in Saratoga, Devon and the Washington International
Dressage Classic. Apache*Pb* continued to successfully compete
at Prix St George, Intermediaire I and II, and Grand Prix,
winning the Dressage at Palgrave II and Blainville, CDI.
Apache*Pb* was an alternate for the Pan American and Olympic
Games. He also was Dressage Horse-Of-The-Year in Quebec
in 2000. Apache*Pb* has been designated as a Bronze and
Silver Premium Stallion by the Canadian Sport Horse Association.
He has also achieved his Bronze designation with the American
Trakehner Association.
Apache*Pb* is now 21 years old and is as magnificent a Trakehner
stallion as he was a young colt. He commands attention through
his proud and exceptional personality. His grey coat is
now glistening white which enhances his enormous black,
kind eyes.
Showing off to the many visitors who come
to see this handsome Trakehner stallion, he provides a unique
experience for all . Visitors are mesmerized by his presence.
From his pasture, surrounded by another Trakehner stallion,
and mares, he looks up from grazing, walks calmly towards
his visitors who are awaiting his arrival at the fence.
He allows each visitor to pet him. As he moves away he turns
around to look at his visitors, trots, canters and gallops
off to show the small crowd his magnificent, mesmerizing
gaits.
Every day Apache*Pb*, alias Houdini, has
the ability to remove his halter and fly mask. Every morning
both articles of horse attire are most certainly secured
upon his entrance into the pasture. No one at Joint Venture
has ever witnessed the actual removal, but every evening
we have the opportunity to perform search and find. Like
clock work, Apache*Pb* will contentedly curl up and take
a late morning nap in visual distance from the mares.
Owning Apache*Pb* is a wonderfully unmatched
experience. We at Joint Venture Farm are extremely thankful
to have had the chance of a lifetime owning this incredible
Trakehner stallion called APACHE*Pb*!
