The Geldings
Blue, a registered Paint by Tom Tom,
and Abba, a registered Thoroughbred
by Abba Cap out of Magic Julie, are
our two geriatric geldings and babysitters.
Having been the hunter and jumper
mounts of our children, Bree and Ali,
who have long since fled their nest,
the geldings safely pass their days
under the shady oaks loved and cared
for as all the horses at Joint Venture
Farm.
Since Blue and Abba are the monarchs
at Joint Venture Farm they are older,
wiser, kinder and have more patience
with our weanlings and yearlings.
They most recently have had to share
their pasture with Sedona, our almost
yearling colt, while keeping him safe
under their tutelage.
